Diavel 1260

The Way Out

The soul of New York is narrated through the faces and stories of those who experience the city beyond Manhattan.

A metropolitan adventure with a powerful impact becomes the metaphor of an inner journey.
The Ducati Diavel 1260 is the perfect vehicle for those who decide to break the rules and escape, leaving behind the routines of a conventional life to liberate their minds and bodies.

Bushwick’s artistic ferment, life under the bridges of Queens and Harlem, Williamsburg’s unique creativity and the views of Manhattan from DUMBO and Long Island are the setting for a story told in stunning images, made even more intense by the humanity of the protagonists.

The protagonists

Choose your road and start your journey

Can you travel without leaving the city? Of course you can, if the city is NYC

The Big Apple, the City that Never Sleeps or just New York City. One of the biggest cities in the world, certainly the one that everyone wants to visit at least once in their lives. At first glance, it wouldn't seem to be the best playground for a motorcyclist with a passion for travelling, but New York manages to deliver the excitement of a real road trip thanks to its incredible mix of cultures.

With its unmistakable design and versatile character, Diavel 1260 S is the perfect motorcycle for travelling the crowded streets from Brooklyn to Jersey, crossing the entire world in style, all in one single city.

The way out for creative minds - Williamsburg

Today in Williamsburg you can see an incredible example of urban regeneration. The old red brick factories and warehouses now sport a modern, brilliant and eco-sustainable design. The roofs have been transformed into green grass gardens, and exclusivity has no longer to do with luxury and glitz but rather the constant search for detail.

The paved streets that rhythmically intersect with each other mark time and distance. Cruising through the narrow turns, even at low speeds, agile riding becomes a pleasure.

The way out for artists - Bushwick

The walls of this distric are covered with beautiful murals, and the artistic activity never stops: day and night groups of artists armed with ladders and canisters are hard at work on the streets of Bushwick.

The results are so surprising that for some time now even commercial advertising has been converted to this form of high-impact art. Indeed, advertising hand-painted directly on the walls of the city comes from here.

As with the Ducati Diavel 1260 S, on these streets the line between art and product is increasingly fuzzy.

The Way Out for stars – Broadway, Manhattan

It is impossible not to be dazzled by the lights of Broadway. The overwhelming artistic vibes are strong and clear in the Great White Way’s theatres. One can feel it even just walking down the street, which has become soon the meeting point for music, theatre and ballet lovers.

‘The Broadway’ is one of the oldest road of the USA: 31 miles of length, it starts from the village of Sleepy Hollow, Mount Pleasant (county of Westchester). Despite all the years and the city changes, this area sticks to its roots, hosting a large number of theatres and cinemas. A legendary place, a real cult, whose ground has been walked through by the most famous celebrities of the star system.

Riding down this street with an icon of the Italian style such as Ducati Diavel is a real emotion.

The Way Out for dreamers - Coney Island, Brooklyn

Coney Island, a ‘happy’ mainland. Since the very first years of the 20th century, its huge piers are full of New Yorkers who want to have fun. In fact, it is the place where, the first Luna Park was founded in 1903. It would have been soon the ancestor of the modern amusement parks we all know. Sea, junk food trucks, buskers, carousels: everyday is a party in Coney Island!

A retro spot with a taste of melancholy, unique in its simplicity, seems to remind us how sometimes a simple joyride can be enough to have a good time. A well-known concept for the motorcyclists, who really understand the feelings you can experience riding your motorbike, even for the shortest route.

The Way Out for sailors - Brooklyn Marina

Riding through the busy and modern streets of Manhattan or the red bricks’ walls of the Queens and Brooklyn’s working district. It is easy to forget about the ocean, which, however, is just around the corner. It seems to be a surprise, in the middle of the noise and traffic, to look at the slow rhythm of the waves, crashing against one of the Brooklyn Marina’s piers.

The moored boats move in a light synchronized dance, waiting for someone to make them free, ready to head fast towards the horizon. The two sides of New York: a cold and detached city, but sweet and romantic, too. A unique and authentic identity, created by many different souls living together: New York’s power as the one of the Diavel 1260.

After having crossed the New York urban jungle, the Diavel 1260 S ventures out of the city, looking for the freedom you can only get when you are away from the chaotic routine. A journey distant from fixed thoughts and from the lights of the city that never sleeps.

Between the curves of Bear Mountain forest and the Delaware shore, the contrast between asphalt and nature leaves you breathless. Traffic jam leaves room to the green and skyscrapers disappear, leaving a wonderful clear blue sky above. You can only hear two sounds: the nature and the engine of the Diavel 1260 S getting away from the city and ready to discover new horizons.

The way out for adventurers - Bear Mountain

This interstate park a hundred kilometres from the centre of Manhattan is a dream come true for those who love to ride.

Roads with an excellent grip scale the mountains with wide, regular curves, the ideal place to fully enjoy the 159 hp of the Diavel 1260 S and to admire the power of nature broken only by the black asphalt, a striking contrast with the majestic greenery of the surrounding woods and the immense blue sky above.

The way out for unconventional thinkers - Woodstock

Among the nostalgic shops of the colors of the time full of flowered dresses and second-hand vinyls, the memory of the famous 1969 concert becomes more and more vivid.

It might be surprising, but Woodstock concert did not take place where it was supposed to. The city administration rejected the permits and the organizers were forced to move the location.

Their resilience and anarchic attitude pushed them not to give up and eventually they set up in Bethel the biggest concert ever, beyond all imagination.

Pirelli Diablo™ Rosso III

Diablo™ Rosso III: a tyre with unprecedented handling for next-generation sporting performance. A perfect grip on the streets of the City That Never Sleeps, also in wet conditions.

Öhlins suspension

Unmistakable golden trim: the Öhlins suspension hallmark. A fully adjustable 48-mm diameter fork and a shock absorber that enhance performance and comfort. New York City steaming manholes have never been so easy to override.

Givi semi-ridig side panniers
