Panigale V4

The Evolution
of Speed

The Panigale V4 represents the last step in the characteristic path of Borgo Panigale's sports bikes. As is the case with motorcycles engaged in MotoGP and WorldSBK, the Panigale V4 is updated and improved year after year. A series of electronic improvements have been introduced that make the bike even easier and more intuitive for riders of all levels.

The most significant updates affect every aspect of the bike: aerodynamics, engine, chassis, ergonomics, and electronics. The end result is a bike that is even faster on the track and at the same time increasingly intuitive and less fatiguing, which is as high performance in the hands of the professional rider as it is rewarding for an amateur.

Even more performing

The success of the updates to the Panigale V4 from the previous version have been confirmed though a special testing on the Vallelunga racing track, in Italy. The Panigale V4 S 2021 and the 2022 version both equipped with Pirelli SC1 tyres gained centre-stage, ridden by two testers joined by the pro-rider Michele Pirro. At the end of the day, it turned out that the first tester improved his best lap on the new Panigale V4 S 2022 by 0.9 seconds, the second by 1.2 second, while Michele Pirro was faster by half a second, lapping just three seconds from his best time in Race 1 at Vallelunga, on the occasion of this year’s Italian Superbike Championship, where, however, he raced counting on the most performing SCX compound.

Record for Pecco Bagnaia at Portimao circuit

During a training session at the Portimao circuit riding the Panigale V4 S, Pecco Bagnaia registered a lap time of 1'43''286: not only the best lap time of the session, but also just less than 3,8 sec less than the best MotoGP lap time of the 2022 race, which was 1’39”43.

Electronic riding aid systems

Many of the electronic systems that are now standard on motorbikes were pioneered by Ducati, which has earned a place among the most advanced companies in the sector. Safety, comfort and performance improved thanks to the continuous improvement.

  • SAFETY
    ABS Cornering
An anti-lock braking system is a safety system that prevents a vehicle’s wheels from locking during heavy braking. Essentially, the ABS regulates the braking pressure on the wheel, allowing it to continuously have traction on the riding surface. There are different ABS intervention levels, depending on the selected Riding Mode.
