The summer break is coming to an end for Marc Márquez, Francesco Bagnaia and the Ducati Lenovo Team, ready to get back at work for the 13th round of the 2025 season at the Spielberg Ring, land of conquest for the Borgo Panigale manufacturer since years.
From 2016 to today, in fact, considering the double race in the '20 and '21 seasons with the Austrian GP and the Styrian GP, Ducati has achieved nine consecutive victories in the Premier Class. The first historic triumph was that of Iannone ('16), followed by three wins for Dovizioso ('17, '19, and '20), one each for Lorenzo ('18) and Martin ('21 - Styrian GP), and Bagnaia's absolute dominance in the last three seasons ('22, '23, and '24).
At work in Hungary last week, where the race will be held in less than 15 days, Marc, who has never won in Austria, aims to chase new records in the second half of the season. He is the undisputed leader of the standings with 381 points, with Ducati dominating both the manufacturer (430 points) and team (594 points) standings.
Also on track at Balaton Park with the Panigale V4S, Pecco, who has always been capable of making the difference aboard the Desmosedici GP on this track, opens the double appointment between Austria and Hungary with the highest expectations.
First commitment for both riders scheduled on Friday, August 15th, at 10:45 a.m. local time, for the first free practice session.
Marc Márquez (#93 Ducati Lenovo Team) - 1st (381 points)
“I can't wait to get back on track after the holidays: I've taken a break and rested. The Austrian track has never given me great satisfaction, but it has provided plenty of duels right down to the last corner, the last meter before the checkered flag. I'm ready to tackle this second part of the season in the best possible way”.
Francesco Bagnaia (#63 Ducati Lenovo Team) - 3rd (214 points)
“This track has always been very favorable to Ducati and in the last three seasons we've achieved the best possible results. I'm happy to get back on track here and restart this second part of the season. Many of my favorite tracks await us: technical, yet spectacular! I can't wait to get out on track”.
