New allocation in the 2025 calendar is the British GP in May. All set – and perhaps milder weather and temperatures than usual – with the Ducati Lenovo Team returning to the track for the seventh round of the season. Three victories from 2017 to today for the Desmosedici GP in England with Dovizioso, Bagnaia in ’22 and Bastiani in ’24. Also to be added are Stoner’s successes in 2007 and 2008 when the GP was held at Donington.
Having regained the lead in the riders standings at Le Mans, capable of managing the daring French Sunday in the best possible way and having set a new record of 6 consecutive wins in the Sprint, Marc, who has triumphed only once at Silverstone in the Premier class in 2014, wants to be a protagonist.
On the podium at Silverstone in the last three editions, with the GP victory in 2022, Pecco wants to leave behind the French weekend where he was unable to materialize in terms of points and placings the speed demonstrated in the free practice sessions.
First appointment on the track for both, Friday May 23rd at 11.45 local time for the first free practice session.
Marc Márquez (#93 Ducati Lenovo Team) – 1st (171 points)
“I’m back on track looking for confirmation. In France I achieved two very important placings for the standings and I continued to test the bike. We’re going back to the pits for finding the same sensations on the material that we tried at the Jerez test and we’ll continue to work hard to be competitive in both races”.
Francesco Bagnaia (#63 Ducati Lenovo Team) - 3rd (120 points)
“The Le Mans weekend didn’t give us much satisfaction. I was fast and competitive from Friday, but the double crash in the race prevent me to score points. The goal is to have more confidence on the front to be able to ride as I want. I’ve always been very strong at Silverstone in the recent years, I like the track and the atmosphere and I can’t wait to get back at work in the garage”.
