175 F3

In 1957 Ducati introduced what might be considered the precursor to modern-day superbikes.

In 1957, its debut year, the Ducati 175 F3 won its first race at Monza, the Grand Prix of Nations. The motorcycle derived from the Sport 175 production model.

With the support of rider Francesco Villa, who was with the Ducati Racing department, the 175 F3 repeated this success at Monza in 1959 and 1960, winning in the 175 class.
