Discover moreAnother extraordinary poker, more records to go down in the annals with yet another all-Ducati podium at a track most successful for us, which sees us victors for the ninth time, and marks Pecco's 25th success in MotoGP, his third consecutive here.
Bagnaia thus joins the top ten riders with most wins in the premier class history: he does so with a race which he practically dominated from start to finish, a resounding one-two after his Saturday's Sprint win. A granitic superiority, with disarming authoritativeness, an exemplary handling of the race in a most sensitive context due to the high temperatures on a track where avoiding slipstreams is a particularly important facet. And so it was, after taking the lead in the race he always kept it under control with an impressive pace and incredible lucidity, never allowing his opponents any chance of response, delivering his crucial “blow” when it was time to close the contest.
An absolute Champion.
A foregone conclusion, today Pecco had more to offer than anyone else. However, an excellent Martin displayed all his talent in the race as well, after having attained a stratospheric pole position. Speed and consistency that none of the others had, the only one trying to counter Bagnaia today, knowing that without taking unnecessary risks, he’d be satisfied with second place, already thinking ahead to the next challenge.
Pecco and Jorge ran a totally distinct race ahead of Enea, who couldn’t match the same pace but in turn held off his pursuers. An excellent third place, the result of a good start and the initial determination that immediately and once again placed him among the protagonists. Another weekend building to a crescendo and a podium confirming his recovered merit.
Marc Marquez recorded another spectacular and most exciting comeback. Even with some lingering regrets because of an unfortunate start and the initial contact in a GP in which he felt as competitive as ever, and we find this aspect very satisfying.
Bezzecchi’s race was also great, he too putting in a splendid ride with cliff-hanging overtakes: bravo!
Not surprisingly, the top four positions in the race reflect the world championship standings and, therefore, the real values on the track.
Thanks to all our riders who honour the strength of our bike and, above all, a special thanks to all the Ducati Corse girls and boys for their invaluable work!
Come on, Ducati!
