“First and foremost, our congratulations for the very merited third place earned by Aprilia Racing, even more so because of the Italian colours surging to the podium.
Ours was a race that disappointed qualifier expectations: we were aiming for a far better result from both drivers who, however, raced tenaciously. Bagnaia had serious problems with the rear grip, never encountered during the qualifiers, and could do no more than merely hang on till the end; Miller, on his part, stubbornly managed to recover several positions, coming close to a third place. Another unfortunate note was Martin’s fall which made us lose a possible protagonist. Once again, during the race, and for different reasons, we were unable to express all the positivity we invariably put into the qualifying runs.
The important thing now is to stay focused on, and be aware of, our potential, both of the bike and the riders, to look forward to the upcoming events with confidence and to be found ready under more favourable circumstances by continuing to work - race by race - with all the commitment that both the team and the fans deserve”.
