Summer School for Excellence – Fisica in Moto - Powered by Lenovo

Since 2011, the Fisica in Moto laboratory has organized a summer school focused on physics applied to motorcycles, reserved for 24 outstanding high school students. Organized by Fondazione Ducati, the Summer School for Excellence takes place at Ducati headquarters in Borgo Panigale during August and September.

Participation is open to students who have reached the age of 18 by the start date of the course. Among all applications received, the most deserving students will be selected based on academic performance in Physics and Mathematics, as well as motivation and teamwork skills, demonstrated through a letter and a self-presentation in the candidate’s preferred video or graphic format.

Lunch expenses, as well as hotel accommodation, will be covered by the organization from the night of Sunday, August 30, 2026, through the night of Thursday, September 3, 2026, inclusive. Travel expenses and any additional overnight stays will be the responsibility of the participant.

During the Summer School, students will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in scientific research by working on their own experimental project. In addition, they will meet researchers and engineers who, through dedicated seminars, will share their experiences in both industry and academic research.

The Summer School program includes more than 20 hours of team-based experimental research, in-depth seminars on motorcycles, guided tours of the Ducati factory and museum, and visits to the DESI (Dual Education System Italy) training centers.

The goal of the Summer School is to give students who have already demonstrated scientific aptitude the opportunity to challenge themselves through teamwork, pursue an original experimental research project, and receive support in choosing their future university studies.
