A bitter ending at the Austin GP

A “zero” that stings even more because it comes after having dominated in the qualifying rounds as well as in the Sprint Race.
A solid performance, continuing in the race until that unexpected slide, just when everything seemed under total control.
Lots of riders falling out, with only 12 reaching the finish line, evidence of general conditions that were indeed very difficult.

But we must certainly avoid becoming despondent or allow this to undermine our confidence and certainties: we must instead learn from this with humility and with the awareness that nothing can be taken for granted, and that to excel is tough and must be deserved when facing such strong opponents, to whom our compliments must go in this instance. Fortunately, in the Ducati stronghold, positive notes are never lacking: Marini ran a splendid race rewarded with the first podium of a career that is in continuous growth, even more so because of the personality and self confidence he sported on the track today and which confirms the excellent work of the VR46 Team.

One has to accept and know how to make the most of what the race “throws” at us, but at the same time we must also be able to turn over a new leaf and with renewed team spirit, think only about the next GP.
This Championship will be long and fiercely contested.
