A wonderful and important victory!

We started off in the best possible way, picking up from where we left off. But with that something extra: the 2023 innovations are getting integrated into a bike that has kept its balance and ride-ability on every section of the track. But not only. This is the teamwork that Pecco masterfully finalised with lucid management of his resources, optimising performance with the mastery of a champion who knows what to do and when: a sign of great composure as well as sharp intelligence and awareness. All this is the fundamental prerequisite for the specific improvements that we will introduce for the upcoming races; the important thing is to continue with the same determination.

Even in the newly introduced Sprint Race we managed, as much as possible since it doesn’t allow for pauses, to deploy our strength in a new format that isn’t simple to interpret from the psychological and "adrenaline-packed" viewpoint even more than just the physical one. On concluding the two races, we had scored a coveted double, with 4 Ducatis in the overall total of podiums and with 4 of our bikes in the first 5 classification spots of the Grand Prix race.

Well-deserved praise goes to Bezzecchi’s splendid race, with his return to the podium with a top race pace. Our opponents presented themselves as strong and competitive: our very best will be needed to reaffirm ourselves in a season that is long and with many points up for grabs; MotoGP’s historical lesson is that nothing is easy or to be taken for granted.

A final thought, which unfortunately makes everything bitter sweet, goes to Enea: it is with much regret that I feel anything more said would be unnecessary, but just want to send a warm hug and heartfelt wish for his return to the team as soon as possible!

Come on, Ducati!
