Discover moreOnly one final piece was missing to complete a season that will be etched in WorldSBK history forever. Bulega delivered it in Race 2 at Jerez de la Frontera, rounding off a perfect weekend with pole position and a clean sweep of three wins.
Thanks to the outstanding results of reigning World Champion Bulega (32 wins this season, bringing his career tally to 52, level with Troy Bayliss) and his teammate Iker Lecuona (4 wins), the Aruba Racing – Ducati team ends the 2026 season with a flawless record: 36 wins from 36 races.
An unprecedented achievement in Superbike World Championship history.
A historic milestone for Ducati too, made even more special by the celebratory liveries and leathers both bikes and riders wore in Race 2.
Nicolò Bulega and Iker Lecuona, infact, entered the track with a special glittery silver livery inspired by the 750 Imola Desmo, created by the Centro Stile Ducati in collaboration with Drudi Performance and inspired by the bike with which Paul Smart and Bruno Spaggiari claimed Ducati's historic one-two finish at the 1972 Imola 200 Miles race. The choice pays tribute to one of the most exciting chapters in the racing history of the Borgo Panigale manufacturer and celebrates Ducati's Centenary by bringing the colours of that historic achievement back to the track more than fifty years later.
Completing the livery, a tricolour detail runs along the side fairing of both bikes, highlighting the all-Italian character of a success that brings together Nicolò Bulega's talent, the supremacy of the Panigale V4 R developed in Borgo Panigale, and the work of the Aruba.it Racing - Ducati Team.
