V2 engine
Complete with classic 90° architecture, a distinctive trait of Ducati twins, the V2 engine adopts an intake variable timing system (IVT), which allows for strong torque across the whole rev range and sports performance at the top end. Homologated to conform with the Euro5+ standard and with 890 cc displacement, it weighs just 54.4 kg, which makes it the lightest twin-cylinder ever produced in Borgo Panigale.
STM EVO-SBK dry clutch
The Panigale V2 SP mounts the STM EVO-SBK dry clutch, a solution that improves anti-hop system function, making throttle-off transitions smoother and allowing more precise engine-braking adjustment. With the use of Ducati Corse Performance Oil, developed for track use, it is possible to gain another 1.2 hp*.
In addition, a dry clutch cover in carbon fibre is available as supporting content, for track use only.
*The actual power output and overall torque may vary depending on manufacturing tolerances, ambient conditions, fuel quality, the state of maintenance, running-in conditions and the measurement method used. Consequently, results obtained using different testing equipment, including chassis dynamometers (rolling-road dynamometers), may not be directly comparable with the data presented here.
Forged aluminium wheels
The Panigale V2 SP flaunts forged aluminium wheels that are 1.5 kg lighter than those on the V2 S. The reduced weight increases the bike’s agility thanks to a reduction in the moment of inertia (-27% at the front, -21% at the back), improving performance under acceleration, while the white finish helps limit heat absorption in the front-end area during track use. This also allows for greater thermal and performance stability of the tyre.
Longer double-sided swingarm
The double-sided swingarm on the Panigale V2 SP is inspired by the design of the Hollow Symmetrical Swingarm on the Panigale V4 and offers the same benefits in terms of corner exit stability and riding feeling on track. 30mm longer than that of the Panigale V2 S, it increases the wheelbase, thereby improving steering stability and precision and reducing the tendency to wheelie.
Brakes
The Panigale V2 SP is equipped with Brembo M50 callipers, ensuring excellent performance on track and effective modulation on the road. The master cylinder is radial while the brake discs measure 320 mm at the front and 245 mm at the rear.
Öhlins suspension
The Panigale V2 SP adopts a 43 mm Öhlins NIX30 fork and an Öhlins shock absorber, equipment that puts it at the top of its category for suspension.
Benchmark electronics
The electronics package on the Panigale V2 SP derives from that of the Panigale V4. The bike is equipped with a new 5” TFT colour display, thanks to which a rider can modify the levels of Cornering ABS, Traction Control Wheelie Control and Engine Brake, also in real time while riding. Ducati Quickshift 2.0, Ducati Power Launch and Ducati Pit Limiter (DPL) are included as standard on the Panigale V2 SP.
Winter Test livery
The Panigale V2 SP adopts the “Winter Test” livery, which gives the bike a minimalist look and real racing character. The matte black Dark Stealth tones contrast with white details on the fairing and the white wheels, which help limit heat absorption in the front-end area. A choice that is not simply aesthetic but functional on track.
Higher front fairing
The Panigale V2 SP comes complete with a racing front fairing in thermoformed material. 40 mm higher than that of the S version, it offers the rider better aerodynamic protection.
