Celebrating Andrea Dovizioso's 300th GP appearance

Next Sunday, Andrea Dovizioso will celebrate his 300th race in the World Championship in what is probably the most loved stage by most riders: the Italian Grand Prix at Mugello. Since his first outing in the World Championship as a wild-card, exactly 18 years ago at Mugello, in 2001 in 125cc, Dovizioso has never skipped a race, collecting 201 starts in the top class, 49 in 250cc and just as many in 125cc. How about some stats? Dovizioso scored points in 259 of 299 races; he rode in 28 different tracks, collecting wins in 16 of them; at Le Mans, he tied Mick Doohan with 95 podium finishes, and he belongs to a very small group of Italian riders (3) who triumphed in the top class at Mugello, alongside Valentino Rossi and Loris Capirossi.

Keep up the good work Andrea!
