Joy, pure jubilation! Happiness... ‘On Top of the World’! 

  Yes! THE DREAM has now come true!... a fantastic reality... which no words can describe... and I don't even want to search for them... It's all so magical ... a sensation that wraps you in a deafening silence, where the images of this splendid adventure reel off, fast. From the initial project to the early podiums, from the first wins through to the world title: an exciting crescendo, not without adversity and some discouraging moments.
We always believed in it and today Pecco Bagnaia is World Champion, and all of us, with him. It has been 15 years since Ducati Corse won its first riders' title, and with this second triumph makes history with the success of an Italian combination that has been missing since the days of Agostini. And, allow me to say, it's also my first rider's World Championship in MotoGP, the only one still missing on my honours board: all this can be dedicated to my family alone, who much supports and much.... endures.
A World Cup is a World Cup, of course, but I like to emphasise the importance of HOW it was achieved: ours is the work of a Team that has grown and consolidated over the years, it is the commitment of all towards a single goal, it is the trust of everyone in the work of the others, it is the strength and awareness of a Group: it means believing in it, and continuing to believe in it until the end, as clearly demonstrated by this year’s incredible comeback. Not only were we able to win, but to build something of great importance. Never as now have I wanted to thank all my “guys”: my thoughts, in particular, go to the valuable work of those, who though not in the limelight today and enjoying all the attention and honours we’re experiencing, whose contribution has been essential in getting us all here.
Statistics will describe it all to us with numbers, but there is no doubt, with due respect going to our valiant opponents, that this was a season in which we dominated: a superlative Pecco was able to recover the fortunes of the championship and seal its outcome by fighting with talent and maturity on a splendid bike. It is the victory of Ducati as a whole, with the teams and riders always protagonists: young talents who are already the standard bearers of tomorrow, and this, in a broader perspective, is an enormous satisfaction.
