Another pearl added to the magic thread linking the last races. An amazing confirmation of our strength, of teamwork finalised by an awesome Pecco, with his exemplary conduct of the race: further great proof of the tactical intelligence of a fast and gutsy rider who knows exactly what to do, and when, in the race’s decisive moments. A solid continuity that, after France, has always seen him in the first two positions between the Sprint and Sunday Races and this is the element that I find most exalting, even more than the mere victory itself, although splendid and not at all taken for granted.

We were able to make the most of the pointers gained from the Sprint Race, slotting them into the Grand Prix perspective, projecting choices and strategies that Pecco masterfully put into action with an inexorable pace, often at the very limit, over the long distance.

And an extraordinary Bezzecchi. What more can we add? Talent, strength and sheer enthusiasm. An absolute protagonist both on Friday and Saturday, fast and with a mindset worthy of a veteran, a young and surprising Ducati reality that fills the heart and once again underlines the great work of the VR46 Team that ensures him a position from which he can best express himself. Exciting. There are also Marquez’s and Marini’s excellent 6th and 7th places. Luca, in particular, came short of something in the race itself but confirms the continuity of his results, beginning with a great third place on the starting grid.

Enea's unfortunate slip should not overshadow all the good he had achieved; he was competitive and was discovering the right feeling. Aside from his fall, today's test is a piece to be added to his patient recovery with peace of mind and the confidence of the entire team.

Now for the long summer break. Assen’s affirming success, during a challenging weekend, and on such a prestigious track moreover, is the best way to close this first part of the World Championship, furthering our lead in the standings. Today’s win was very important, as well as winning like this, determined to continue the positive series upon returning to the tracks. Finally, but above all, a big hug and holiday wishes to all the Ducati Corse women and men who have been working so hard to achieve these results: Thank you! Come on, Ducati!
