MXGP of Australia Qualifying Race

• Guadagnini third in the qualifying race in Australia with the Desmo450 MX

After more than twenty years, the FIM Motocross World Championship has returned to Australia. The track at the Hidden Valley Motorsport Complex - just a few kilometres from Darwin, the capital of the Northern Territory - is playing host to the Australian MXGP Grand Prix, the 20th and final round of the 2025 season.

Built specifically for this occasion and destined to become a permanent facility to regularly hold the MXGP series, the Australian circuit is a mix of sand and clay, with a spectacular layout that winds through the hills of Hidden Valley. Reminiscent of American circuits, it features huge jumps and long climbs and descents.

After posting 14th and 20th in timed practice, Mattia Guadagnini and Jeremy Seewer lined up at the starting gate for the last qualifying race of the campaign. Guadagnini got off to a great launch, using the power of his Desmo450 MX bike to propel himself into second place, while Seewer completed the first lap in 13th.

Maintaining second for the first four laps, Mattia eventually conceded one position to the red plate holder, Romain Febvre, and kept third place to the finish, securing his best result of the year. A consistent ride allowed Jeremy to cross the chequered flag in 13th.
