MXGP of Czech Republic Qualifying Race

• Top 10 for Jeremy Seewer in the Czech qualifying race

• The Swiss rider first in the free practice session of the 14th round of the season

The MXGP of the Czech Republic, the fourteenth round of the 2025 season, takes place this weekend at the Loket track, west of the capital Prague and a few kilometers from the German border. The Czech circuit, which has hosted the FIM Motocross World Championship since 1995 and is now hosting its 28th Grand Prix in its long history, features steep climbs and a hard-pack, gravelly surface, making it particularly treacherous this year due to the rain that fell on the track in the afternoon.

After setting the fastest time in the morning free practice, Jeremy Seewer set the 10th fastest time in the following timed session, which was affected by rain falling just minutes into the session. Starting outside the top 10 at the start of the qualifying race, Jeremy managed to gain three positions over the first laps, moving up to eighth place, a position he finished in after 12 laps, with a good pace.

It was a more challenging Saturday for Mattia Guadagnini, who, after setting the 21st fastest time in practice, got off to a good start in the qualifying race, placing himself in the top 10. However, Mattia crashed on the first lap, finding himself last with his gloves covered in mud. After a pit stop to change them and crashing again due to poor grip on the handlebars, the Italian attempted to continue without gloves but had to give up after two laps, retiring from the race. This result will force Guadagnini to start last in Sunday's two heats.
