Born in Turin, Italy, and based in the Motor Valley for several years, he has stood out as one of the most promising talents of the Italian motorcycling scene from an early age.

A three-time World Champion - Moto2 in 2018 and MotoGP in 2022 and 2023 aboard a Ducati - he has collected more than 40 victories and 80 podiums.

He first attracted attention in minimoto and MiniGP between 2009 and 2010, before competing in the Spanish Speed Championship in 2011 and making his Moto3 World Championship debut in 2013.
