Electronics

Increasingly cutting-edge technology

Riding pleasure and a sense of control

Standard equipment includes Cornering ABS, Traction Control and Wheelie Control, all of which can be adjusted according to different levels of intervention. The motorcycle’s sports attitude is further accentuated with Launch Control, which ensures lightning starts.

This electronic equipment guarantees equally high levels of performance and active safety.

Like all latest generation Ducati bikes, the Monster exploits Ride-by-Wire technology and the dynamic control systems to create the Riding Modes, which modify the character of the motorcycle, adapting it to the road conditions and/or the rider’s level of ability.

Smart Power Mode
Riding Mode: Sport Power Mode: Sport

Dedicated torque curve in first gear and full torque curve in other gears.
Riding Mode: Touring Power Mode: Medium

Dedicated torque curves in first and second and full torque curve in other gears.
Riding Mode: Urban Power Mode: Low

Dedicated torque curves in first and second and limited torque curve (max. power 75 hp) in other gears.
Ducati Traction Control

The Traction Control system acts as a smart “filter” between the accelerator and rear tyre. It lets the rider select one of eight different intervention levels. Each of the three Riding Modes has default DTC levels but these can be personalised to suit individual riding styles and road conditions, just like other electronic riding aids.

Launch Control

The Monster is equipped with a Launch Control system that allows for extremely effective starts. Once activated, the system autonomously manages the engine revs (irrespective of the throttle) so that the rider need only manage the clutch when moving off. A “drag race mode” that ensures the best possible acceleration.

Ducati Wheelie Control

Wheelie Control allows the motorcycle to accelerate to the max while eliminating, or limiting, any front wheel lift. This heightens riding safety but also ensures the best possible acceleration performance. Wheelie Control can be adjusted independently from other controls.

Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) up/down

Available as standard on the new Monster the Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) up/down, a race-derived electronic system, lets the rider shift gear without using the clutch. This system not only boosts the enjoyment of sports riding but also lends a welcome hand in city traffic or on winding roads requiring frequent gear changes.

Colour TFT instrumentation

The Monster instrument panel features a 4.3” colour TFT display. Its graphics are inspired by those of the Panigale V4 and offer useful on-board information. In the centre of the screen, the rev counter and currently selected gear are on prominent display, along with data such as air temperature and fuel level.
