Extreme, aggressive, unmistakable.

Inspired by the prototype that astonished at EICMA 2005, the new Hypermotard reinterprets the style features of the Hypermotard 1100, exaggerating the bold proportions and sculpted surfaces. Taut lines marry soft and sophisticated volumes, modelled around a compact mechanical base that is dominated by the new Ducati V2 engine.
Hypermotard flyline

The new Hypermotard concentrates its mass towards the front. The exaggerated proportions and flat seat transmit motard vibes, for a Hyper that has never been so Hyper.

Monocoque frame and essential fairing

Paired with a minimalist fairing, the monocoque frame highlights the lightness and visual tension of the mechanical base, compact, taut and ready to express its full motard potential.

Timeless style details

The DNA of the new Hypermotard is rooted in the very first prototype presented at EICMA 2005 and named “Best in Show”. Distinctive elements are inherited from that icon to ensure character, not least the front headlight with unmistakable “beak”, the tank cover with double wing, the dual exhaust under the tail that leaves the trellis frame exposed, and the floating rear light. Clean and aggressive lines that continue to excite and enthral today.

An unmistakable gaze

The iconic light signature of the Hypermotard comprises two DRLs, inserted into a dark, shiny headlight that integrates into a red front-end sculpted as a single piece. The result is a front view that is both aggressive and essential.

Tank with double wing

The tank cover, sculpted as a single piece complete with characteristic double wing, is a distinctive Hypermotard design trait. This aesthetic solution creates a bold contrast with the streamlined technical base, highlighting the visual lightness and dynamic tension of the lines. A detail that blends form and function, emphasising the bike’s aggressive, minimalist soul.

A narrow, compact seat

The narrow and compact seat offers the rider maximum freedom of movement. For the first time, the SP and standard version share the same seat height of 880 mm, a choice that improves the ergonomics and sense of control. In addition, the straddle arch is reduced by 15 mm with respect to the previous model (and by 35 mm for the SP version), making it easier to reach the ground without compromising on the sports attitude that defines the Hypermotard.

Visible trellis subframe, floating rear light and dual exhaust: style details from the first 1100

The rear trellis subframe, left purposely on view, expresses the bike’s technical nature and sports soul. This setup is completed with a floating rear light and dual exhaust under the tail, elements that make for an aggressive and essential rear view, in line with the spirit of the 2005 prototype.

Hypermotard SP: even more extreme

The graphics emphasise the Racing Red SP logo, pushed to the limits of design, from tank to beak. The white wheels with red tags create a bold contrast, accentuating the bike’s personality. The side panels are enhanced with the number 20, to mark the anniversary of the first Hypermotard 1100 prototype. The SP version is visually impactful with technical equipment, such as gold Öhlins suspension and a carbon front mudguard, that emphasizes its sports soul.

Comtemporary design,
Hypermotard spirit.

Aggressive, clean and dynamic, Hypermotard V2 encapsulates the essence of the Ducati fun bike. Inspired by the first Hypermotard, the design is updated and stands out for its compact volumes, essential fairing, and supermotard style.

V2 twin:
120 hp of pure fun.

The new V2 engine is perfect for the new Hypermotard. The lightest twin ever produced by Ducati is compact, powerful and boasts torque enough to emphasise the Hyper’s agile, fun-loving character.
The lightest Ducati V2 of all time

The new Hypermotard is powered by the new 890 cc 90° V2 engine, the lightest twin ever produced by Ducati. Weighing just 54 kg, 6 kg less than the previous Testastretta 11°, this engine marks a new chapter in the history of Ducati twins, setting the benchmark with its lightness, compactness, and contained consumption and emissions. Its compact structure makes for an extremely narrow, manageable bike, while the levels of torque, exciting and very usable in all conditions, make for a riding experience that is both thrilling and controlled.

120 hp and so much torque available already at 3,000 rpm

The V2 engine delivers maximum power of 120 hp at 10,750 rpm and ensures higher top-end performance compared to the Testastretta 11°. The maximum torque is 94 Nm at 8250 rpm with generous delivery already at low revs. More than 70% of torque is already available at 3,000 rpm, and more than 80% is always available between 4,000 and 11,000 rpm, for a prompt response on each twist of the throttle and maximum usability during both everyday use and on track, thanks to the IVT.

IVT variable timing: fluidity and performance

The new Ducati V2 engine introduces IVT (Intake Variable Timing) on the hollow stem intake valves, which continuously modifies the valve opening advance. This ensures the best possible delivery without compromising on performance or usability, for high top-end power, torque at mid-low range, and a smooth response thanks to combustion stability. In this way, the compromise between low-end torque and high-end power is removed, for an engine that adapts to various conditions of use, from low-speed riding in traffic to sports riding on the open road.

Euro 5 homologation and 45,000 km service intervals

Euro 5+ approved, the Ducati V2 engine also stands out for its contained consumption and emissions. Thanks to a valve train system with coil spring return, the valve clearance check is scheduled every 45,000 km, a benchmark interval for its category, while the oil change is scheduled every two years or 15,000 km.

35 kW reduced power version

For A2 licence holders, a 35 kW reduced power version is available. The version offers maximum power of 43.5 hp at 6250 rpm, and maximum torque of 5 kgm at 5750 rpm.

Full control,
pure enjoyment.

The new Hypermotard is lighter than ever, weighing 13 kg less than the Hypermotard 950 thanks to a significant redesign of the chassis and ergonomics. Faithful to the fun-bike spirit, it is now more neutral, easy and intuitive, with a riding position that reduces fatigue and boosts the riding pleasure.
Even lighter

The compact chassis of the Hypermotard V2 ensures a wet weight without fuel of just 180 kg, 13 kg less than the previous model. With lighter components, the Hypermotard V2 SP weighs 177 kg (14 kg less than its predecessor).

Aluminium alloy monocoque frame

Hypermotard V2 is a light, compact bike thanks also to its monocoque frame, specifically designed for this bike, that replaces the steel structure of the previous version. The monocoque frame, unique in its segment, exploits the V2 engine as a structural element and functions as an airbox. In this way, one single component serves a dual purpose for maximum lightness and compactness.

Rear subframe

The rear subframe expresses its technical, sports spirit in retaining the classic steel trellis structure of the first Hypermotard. The character of the different versions is emphasised by the different colours, red for the Hypermotard V2 and Racing Red for the SP version.

Double-sided swingarm

The double-sided swingarm is in cast aluminium alloy, both light and robust. A significantly lighter external design recalls that of the Panigale V4’s Hollow Symmetrical Swingarm, highlighting the connection to the racing world and ensuring the same riding benefits in terms of mechanical grip, stability out of the turns, precision in closing the line mid-turn, and control. With respect to other sports models in the V2 range, the swingarm features a dedicated engine fastening system.

Kayaba suspension and Öhlins suspension

Hypermotard V2 adopts a fully adjustable Kayaba fork with 46 mm stanchions and a Kayaba shock with preload and rebound adjustment, for guaranteed precision and comfort in every situation. The SP version further raises the bar with fully adjustable Öhlins suspension, designed for those wanting superior performance and a sportier response. Both versions feature a Sachs steering damper for stability and safety even during rapid acceleration.

Brembo braking system

Both versions adopt a Brembo braking system that guarantees benchmark performance for the category. The Hypermotard V2 flaunts 320 mm dual discs paired with M4.32 callipers, while the SP version adopts the more high-performance M50 callipers with dedicated brake master cylinder, for an even prompter and more flexible response. At the rear, both versions mount a 245 mm disc for braking power and control in every riding situation.

Wheels and tyres

Hypermotard V2 is equipped with Y-design six-spoke wheels in lightweight alloy, measuring 3.50 x 17” at the front and 5.50 x 17” at the rear, paired with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres sized 120/70 and 190/55. The Hypermotard SP mounts forged wheels with a tangential five-spoke design inspired by that of the Desmosedici GP and 1.5 kg lighter. The forged wheels are paired with the sportier Pirelli Diablo Rosso VI Corsa tyres that offer better grip in the dry, superior handling at high speeds and consistent performance during intense riding sessions. For track use, the bike can be equipped with Pirelli Diablo Superbike slick tyres with a rear size of 180/60 or, alternatively, with a super sport size of 190/60.

Redesigned riding position

The riding position has been completely redesigned to offer total control in every situation. The setup, even closer to the world of supermotard, heightens both safety and enjoyment, whether in the city or on the open road. The new posture increases front-end load, improving stability and making it easier and less effortful to hold the line, even through trickier turns.

Seat height to facilitate contact with the ground

For the first time, the Hypermotard V2 and SP version share the same seat height of 880 mm, a choice that improves both ergonomics and control. With a straddle arch that is 15 mm lower than the previous model (35 mm lower in the case of the SP version), feet reach the ground more easily, for greater safety when manoeuvring. To meet the needs of riders of all heights, a lower seat and suspension kit are available as accessories, allowing for full customisation of the riding position for maximum enjoyment.

Controlled fun.

The new Hypermotard V2 offers an advanced electronics package to maximise enjoyment and safety in every situation. Thanks to the six-axis inertial platform, the bike offers Cornering ABS adjustable according to four levels, Ducati Traction Control, Wheelie Control, Quick Shift 2.0 and Engine Brake Control, all of which can be customised via the four Riding Modes.
Riding Modes and Power Modes to customise the bike’s character

The Riding Modes offer four pre-set riding styles – Race, Sport, Road and Wet – to adapt the behaviour of the Hypermotard V2 to suit the rider, the route and the conditions. Each mode instantly modifies engine response and electronic control intervention, always ensuring the right balance of performance and safety.

Race is designed for the track: 120 hp with a direct Ride-by-Wire response, minimally invasive electronic controls, and ABS at level 2 with the “slide by brake” function for controlled sliding when entering the turns.

Sport maintains 120 hp but with a smoother response, ideal for riding on dry roads, with Cornering ABS enabled and rear wheel lift control.

Road is the choice for low-grip surfaces, with progressive delivery and more protective electronic controls to ensure stability and safety.

Wet is for slippery surfaces, with power limited to 95 hp, a gentle response and significant electronic control intervention for optimum safety in the wet.

The rider can also customise each parameter or restore the default Ducati settings at any time.

New DQS 2.0: even quicker shifting with less pressure on the lever

Hypermotard V2 uses the second generation DQS, a system that debuted on the new Panigale V4. Compared to a traditional quick shift, the gear lever has no micro-switch, for more direct feeling when shifting, reduced lever travel, and more repeatable performance. This is possible thanks to a strategy that exploits the sensor’s ability to identify the gear drum position. This solution does not just improve the smoothness during everyday riding but is particularly useful on track, where precision and speed make the difference.

Four-level Cornering ABS

The Hypermotard V2 adopts an ABS system with cornering function, derived from the Panigale V4, that also intervenes when the bike is tilted. With respect to other models in the V2 range, it foresees four ABS levels rather than three, to better meet the needs of all riders, on both track and road and even in more critical situations of low grip.

ABS level 1, which can be selected even though it is not associated by default with any Riding Mode, is recommended for track use by expert riders and guarantees racing intervention of the ABS system, which only acts on the front wheel. Both the cornering function and rear wheel lift intervention are disabled for maximum performance.

Level 2 is recommended for track use by amateur riders. The system manages both the front and rear braking systems and keeps the cornering function activated in the absence of lift control for more sports-oriented braking. By selecting level 2, the rider can exploit the “slide by brake” function that allows sliding into the turn for spectacular and even more efficient sports riding in total safety.

Unlike levels 1 and 2, level 3 is a sports setting suitable for road use, which allows for rapid deceleration. The cornering function remains enabled where lift control is low.

Super-safe level 4 is for low-grip conditions, ensuring safe and stable braking in all situations, with maximum rear wheel lift control during rapid deceleration.

Sophisticated modern electronics

The new Hypermotard V2 is equipped with a latest generation electronics package, based on a six-axis inertial platform. This system detects roll, pitch and yaw in real time, for precise, calibrated intervention of all controls, including Cornering ABS – with four levels for the first time, Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) 2.0 and Engine Brake Control (EBC). The operating parameters for each control are associated by default with the four Riding Modes, to adapt to every type of use, from ultimate sports performance to stability and safety on low-grip surfaces. The rider can customise their riding styles or restore the default Ducati parameters. Rounding out the electronics are the Ducati Power Launch (DPL) and Ducati Pit Limiter (DPL) systems, available as standard on the Hypermotard SP and as an accessory for Hypermotard V2.

New 5” TFT

All information is displayed on the new 5” TFT dashboard with 800 x 400 resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The data is supplied by way of three Info Modes (Road, Road Pro and Track), which automatically switch from day to night mode and can be selected using the new joystick integrated into the left block. Each mode is designed to display the most relevant information based on the context to maximise readability. In Road and Road Pro mode, the display shows data relevant to road riding, while in Track mode, essential data for track use is displayed along with the real time intervention level of each control, as on the Panigale V4.

Full LED lights and turn signals

The light system is full LED and introduces a new light signature that makes the Hypermotard immediately recognisable. The front headlight features two DRLs, inserted into a dark, shiny body to create a futuristic and aggressive look that blends with the sculpted front-end. The floating rear light emphasises the levity of the tail section, while the turn signals are also full LED, for a coherent, technological design. Rounding out the package is the DBL EVO function that activates a flashing rear light if there is any sudden braking, and Coming Home, which keeps the lights switched on for a few seconds after the bike is turned off.
