Level: from beginner to expert

The 2020 Enduro Academy calendar is over. Stay updated on these pages to find out the news and dates for next season.

The course is suitable for all, from beginners who want to gain confidence and control of the bike in conditions with low grip, to the more experienced enduro rider who wants to learn from the experience of top riders and try out riding techniques with the Multistrada 1260 Enduro, Multistrada 950 and Scrambler Desert Sled.

The participants will be divided into groups according to experience and led closely by a team of instructors. During the one-day and half course there’ll be exercises that vary from learning the best posture on the bike to the various techniques for getting the best possible traction on steep off-road slopes both going up and down.

After going through the basics of off-road riding, the exercises might focus on dealing with obstacles, emergency braking on rough surfaces, the typical “tòle ondulée” of deserts made up of wave after uninterrupted wave for variable distances which can really test both rider and bike.

The final part of the course will involve an excursion on the tracks around the estate, to take in the surrounding views and put everything that participants have learnt the day before into practice.

The Technical Director of the DRE Enduro is Beppe Gualini, an exceptional master. He is a record holder of the African rally-raids, where he took part 65 times and has 10 editions of the Paris-Dakar under his belt. Beppe Gualini’s great experience, together with his most trusted professional instructors, will be put to the service of the participants.

During the course, you will ride the bikes of the Ducati range, testing the Multistrada 1260 Enduro and Mutistrada 950 S.

These bikes are perfect for off-road and you will be able to learn and use the different riding modes to adapt to every situation.

The castle of Nipozzano is the exclusive location which will host DRE Enduro.

The ancient castle which defended Florence from the year 1000 is the most famous and historical property owned by the marquises of Frescobaldi. The castle and the vineyards which surround it are in a hilly area overlooking the Arno river valley.

Thanks to the perfect balance between altitude, terrain and fresh, breezy micro-climate, conditions are ideal for wine production, while the stunning panoramas and wide open spaces make it the perfect location for hosting DRE Enduro.

Training areas dedicated to practical exercises to be done with the Multistrada 1260 Enduro, Multistada 950 and Scrambler Desert Sled have been set up in the vast fields around the castle. Once the exercises are over, the theory will be put into practice with explorations of the magnificent trails through the surrounding Tuscan hills.

During lunch and even more so at dinner, participants can enjoy a variety of traditionally Tuscan dishes distinguished by distinctive flavours and ingredients of the highest quality all accompanied by a selection of wines produced on the Frescobaldi family estates.

Accommodation is not included.

Ducati gives the participants the possibility to rent the proper clothing to wear: Enduro jacket and trousers, Explorer goggles and helmet, All Terrain gloves and boots, bodyguard Armour Enduro and Enduro kneepads: Ducati original apparel, a guarantee of quality and performance.
