It could have been much worse… These are the clichés that are as obvious as they are true and intense. It was one of those Sundays that happen to shake every certainty, reminding one of how damn dangerous our sport really is and what it means for every rider to get on the track and give literally everything they have, with the courage of absolute warriors. These are the episodes that bind all teams into one big family, reshuffling values and placing “things” into the right perspective. Yes, indeed, everything else takes a back seat after a long and nerve-racking day such as this.

Everything happened on the track, it was clearly seen. In the end of it, we secured the full podium of a crazy, hard-fought and unpredictable GP, filled with twists and turns until the very end, and even beyond with the post-GP penalties. Congratulations to Di Giannantonio and his VR46 Team for securing his second win. He provided yet another proof of maturity, where he made the most of the restarts after the red flags. It was a complex and excellently managed race, which adds to a fast, solid start to the season with consistent results, as I have already stated many times this year. The same enthusiasm we express to Team Gresini - if so we can define it after the frightening scare - and its young rider Aldeguer, who made everyone forget his serious winter injury, returning to the podium with a race dealt with as a leading protagonist , with a gutsy performance. Pecco clinched a third place that is a morale booster. Yes, it always feels good, even if it is an unexpected podium achieved in a daring way after - it is worth highlighting the circumstance - a great restart following the crash involving Zarco.

A real shame for Alex Marquez, if we look purely at the racing side of things. Everything was in place for it to be his day and, overall, his weekend, after his solid and important win in the Sprint race. He had great pace and the right determination to impose himself on opponents who were nevertheless tough and fast. It goes without saying, we cannot wait to welcome him back on track. This wish extends to Zarco as well: I send to both these boys my warmest “good luck”.

Come on, guys! Come on MotoGP!
