Discover moreEvery year, my 2022 Ducati Multistrada V4 S and I, together with a few fellow riders, embark on an epic pilgrimage: 3,500 miles from Raleigh, North Carolina, to Austin, Texas, to attend the MotoGP Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA).
That year, the journey was one of the best I had ever taken. It all began with a mandatory stop at the legendary Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum in Alabama, before heading west to Ducati Island, where fans, riders, and even Ducati’s CEO himself gathered to celebrate a shared passion. I’ll never forget standing side by side with Claudio Domenicali.
Along the way, I encountered weather that was sometimes kind—clear blue skies—and sometimes harsh, with violent thunderstorms, endless straight highways, and winding detours. Through it all, the Multistrada once again proved to be in a class of its own. Its radar-assisted cruise control made the grueling highway hours effortless, while its sporty DNA came alive in the corners. Rain or shine, this bike performs flawlessly: comfortable, easy to handle, and extremely versatile. And yes, I even had the chance to take it out on the track.
In the end, my journey lasted seven days, covering a total of 5,630 kilometers.
What I always suggest when someone wants to set out on a trip is simple: just do it. And if you have a Multistrada V4, even better. This bike exceeds expectations—you choose the destination and let the Multistrada take you there.
It is the most versatile motorcycle currently on the market: its exceptional comfort and sporty character make it truly unique and distinctive. From the V4 engine to the full Akrapovič exhaust, from the riding position to wind protection and heat management—every detail reflects refinement and cutting-edge design.
